A dollhouse of distinction
June 18th, 2012Every year, the May Court Club of London, Ontario, hosts a Homes of Distinction tour to raise funds to support London’s children and young people – and this year there was even a special treat for dollhouse lovers.
Each of the six houses on the Homes of Distinction tour offered plenty to admire, inspire and even envy.
One house looked to be inspired by a fairy tale castle and came complete with a turret overlooking a wonderful riverside setting.
Another was in Queen Anne style with fluted columns and Palladian window.
Yet another was in the Georgian style and this house contained an extra attraction for dollhouse lovers – a miniature version of itself in the shape of an elegant dollhouse.
Made up of women volunteers, the May Court Club has been supporting the London community for over 78 years.
This year’s Homes of Distinction took place on May 26th and 27th and if you fancy joining in next time, look out for details around those dates in 2013.
